The Network of Experts on the Social Dimension of Education and Training (NESET II) and the European Expert Network on Economics of Education (EENEE), supported by the European Commission – DG for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, are organising their 3rd annual conference on “Strengthening Common European Values through Education. What does the Evidence tell us?”.
The Conference will be held on 22nd November 2018 in Brussels, Belgium, at the Madou tower, Madou square 1, 1000 Brussels.

The NESET II and EENEE Conference is a major annual event aiming to encourage broader dialogue between policy makers at the EU and national levels and researchers, offering a fertile ground for information exchange. It will provide an opportunity to discuss the evidence on effective policies and practices gathered by NESET II and EENEE as well as the implications for policy makers, researchers, practitioners, civil society organisations and other stakeholders at the local, national and international levels.

The 2018 Conference is focussed on the topic of common European values, active citizenship and key competences. While a lot has already been done to promote common European values, it is acknowledged that there is a need to further strengthen them through education. This conference will be oriented towards solutions and practices that demonstrated value and worked well for different levels of education.

The Conference will alternate between the formats of plenary sessions and parallel group discussions to enable dialogue and sufficient opportunities for the audience to actively participate.

This event is funded by the EU.
